PEACOCK
Peacock belongs to
birds. Peacock includes into omnivorous. it eats insects, plants, graints, and
flowerheads. Peacock is included into diurnal. It hunts the preys and noon and
sleeps at night.
The peacock has been
most found in India, in deserts, and dry savanna areas, Peacocks are also found
in forest. In Indonesia, peacocks are also found in national park of baluran,
Situbondo.
The male peacock is
most well known for it’s big tail feathers that fan out behind and can be
nearly two meters in length, on the peacock head, there is erect tuft. The tail
is very long, with green metalic colour. The tail is shiny. The colorful
display of the peacock is used for both weeding and defencing purposes. Male
peacock attrascks female peacock to mate, by showing off the array. When the
male peacock feels threatened, he will fan the tail out to make him self look
bigger and try to intimadate approaching predators. Peacocks’ life span company
gets to about 20 years old. Although some peacock have been known to get older
ages particularly the peacock that are in captivity lives longer than in wild
life. During the mating season, the male peacock may mate with up to six
different female peahens.
The female peahen lays
between 4 up to 8 brownish eggs, the female peacock incubates her eggs by
sitting on them. and the baby of peacock hatches after about a month.
Green peacock is on
danger extinction because of hunting and lossing the habitats.
